As a staple of Southwestern life, Gallup is proud to offer numerous rodeos throughout the year. The level of competition ranges from amateur to the PBR.

Recently, Gallup became the host city for the Wrangler National Junior High School Championships.

Basketball:

Gallup is proud to host the American Basketball Association's (ABA) Gallup Talons. As one of the top teams in the ABA, the Talons proved their prowess playing a tough schedule against teams throughout the country. To learn more about the Talons, click here.

In addition to the Professional League, Gallup is home to numerous High School Teams including the current New Mexico State Champions: the Bengals from Gallup High School.

Cross-Country Running:

The Gallup High School cross-country team is one of the elite teams in the Nation. Regularly winning state and consistently placing in National Events, Gallup is a runner's paradise. Gallup is also home to the High School State Cross Country Championships held at Red Rock State Park.
